Patternistic Light-up Electric Dance Suit

The Patternistic Light-up Electric Dance Suit (P.L.E.D.S.) is a wearable electronic device made for dancing! Arduino controlled, RGB LED strips light up in patterns with colors shifting based on movement. Move your left hand and the colors on the left change, move your right hand and the colors on the right change. Belt mounted buttons change the animation mode or execute a special animation! Devised and worn by my daughter, the PLEDS is ready to bring bright colorful dancing joy to the masses! The device features two addressable RGB LED strips and two 3-axis accelerometers. The strips run from the wrist, over the shoulder, down the body, and down the front of the leg to the ankle. There is a left strip and right strip. The left accellerometer controls the left strip and vice-versa. Movement of the accellerometers is translated into changing colors and brightness of the pixels as the animation plays on the strip. The arduino, batteries, and control buttons are belt mounted. There are two control buttons, one changes the "Dance Mode" (animation) the other kicks off a special 5 animation that plays briefly, each dance mode has a different special animation. The wearer dances, moving their arms and hands to change the colors and brightness of the strips.
