MIDI + Arduino = FUN! (and some Rasp Pi too)

--- Music Chords Pedal Display --- I built a floor pedal (like a piano keyboard) that allows the user to display musical chords on a display when playing with other musicians and communicate chord changes from a selected musical scale. The device can also detect chords played from a connected MIDI instrument. Also, it can send the chords selected to a connected MIDI instrument. I'm working on making it bluetooth so the user can use a tablet to view the chords selected. --- Playstation controller musical instrument --- I built a converter that makes a playstation 2 controller act as a MIDI musical instrument on a computer via USB. It uses a Teensy micro controller board programmed as a USB-compliant MIDI device to translate the messages from the PS controller. It is encased in a guitar pedal for extra controller buttons. --- Remote controller for Behringer X Air (X18) digital mixer using a Raspberry Pi (via Ethernet or Wifi) --- work in progress --- Charlieplexed LED USB MIDI christmas Tree --- It uses the notes from a MIDI file played on a computer to light the LEDs in sync with the music. Uses a Teensy board programmed with Arduino.

I’m a musician who likes to hack his instruments and equipment. I work a little with the Arduino (more often with the Teensy) and recently with Raspberry Pi.
