FTC Robotics teams #7017 and #11619 will display their work in progress for this year's FTC competition, including both programming and hardware. Students will also display their original Android apps programmed with MIT's App Inventor software. They will display their apps, as well as their coding. Both groups are excited to be able to discuss their process, goals, knowledge base, and questions with other Makers!
McKeel Academy of Technology is home to the CREaTE Academy, which is made up of inventive and creative students curious about a variety of pre-engineering fields. Students can design a course of study within the academy tailored to their own individual interests and talents. The program offers in-depth exploration of Robotics, Electronics, Computer Science, and exposure to other types of engineering. This year students in the Robotics program are focused on FTC, or the FIRST® Tech Challenge. Teams #7017 and #11619 are returning for their third and second seasons, respectively. Another group of students is working with MIT’s App Inventor to design socially useful Android apps. Both groups are excited to share their specialties with other Makers!
